Job Title: Asset & Wealth Management - Renewable Energy Tax Senior Manager

Job Responsibilities:
A career in the Financial Services Tax practice within the Corporate Tax services at the company involves helping clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. The Senior Manager will advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. Responsibilities include helping organizations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties and providing advice on tax implications of deals. The team aids Financial Services clients in navigating the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment related to stringent capital requirements, management of operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions.

As a Senior Manager, the candidate will work as part of a team of problem solvers, addressing complex business issues from strategy to execution. The responsibilities at this management level include:

The role involves working with some of the world's largest renewable energy companies to develop and implement innovative tax solutions, particularly in response to challenges introduced by the Inflation Reduction Act. Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Field(s) of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 5 year(s)
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
The candidate should demonstrate in-depth knowledge of compliance and consulting for investment partnerships, including hedge funds, mutual funds, and private equity funds. This includes:
- Leveraging knowledge of structuring funds and fund management companies to limit tax liability.
- Possessing in-depth knowledge of alternative investment strategies and vehicles.
- Utilizing in-depth tax technical skills, including partnership tax forms.

The candidate should also demonstrate in-depth experience identifying and addressing client needs, which includes:
- Experience with complicated partnership structures.
- Experience with tax matters relevant to the renewable energy industry, such as tax credits and fixed asset depreciation.
- A desire to learn more about the renewable energy industry.
- Innovating through new and existing technologies and experimenting with digitization solutions.
- Working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools for client insights.
- Utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements.
- Advancing pricing strategy through the use of pricing tools and influencing a shift to alternative fee arrangements.
- Building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement.
- Demonstrating success as a tax technical business advisor, including developing new relationships and making introductions to sell new services with a "One Firm" service mindset.

The candidate should also demonstrate in-depth knowledge of automation and digitization, leading by example in a professional services environment, including:
- Building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement.
- Communicating value propositions.
- Managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections, and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
- Possessing considerable experience as a team leader by supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust.
- Seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation.
- Coaching staff by providing timely, meaningful written and verbal feedback.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $124,000 - $335,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
