Job Overview:
A nationally recognized and rapidly expanding civil litigation firm is seeking a Partner-level attorney to join its General Liability practice. This role is ideal for an experienced litigator seeking leadership opportunities, equity potential, and a collaborative team culture without the pressure of bringing an existing book of business. The position offers a hybrid schedule and is open across multiple office locations throughout California.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of General Liability matters from inception to resolution

  • Oversee case strategy, client communication, and carrier relationships

  • Supervise associate attorneys and legal staff as needed

  • Draft, review, and approve motions, discovery, and legal correspondence

  • Represent clients in depositions, mediations, and court proceedings

  • Collaborate with other partners and leadership on firmwide initiatives

  • Participate in business development, mentorship, and firm culture initiatives (optional, not required for equity track)

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of litigation experience with a focus on General Liability

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage files and client relationships

  • Excellent references and a stable employment record

  • Strong oral and written advocacy skills

  • Commitment to collaborative, respectful, and inclusive work environments

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

  • Proven leadership and case management abilities

  • Strong negotiation and litigation skills

  • Ability to build and maintain client and carrier relationships

  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on mentorship and professional growth

  • Detail-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Proficiency with legal research tools and case management systems
