The Claims Manager for D&O Financial Lines will be responsible for handling and managing claims within the Financial and Professional Lines Claims Group. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling FLPL claims and a strong understanding of policy language and coverage. This is a full-time position with a preferred location in Chicago, IL, but alternate locations in NYC, Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and San Francisco are also available.

Responsibilities:

- Active management of D&O and other Financial Lines claims within the FLPL Claims Group
- Evaluate coverage, draft coverage correspondence, and conduct claims investigations
- Manage defense counsel and legal spend
- Assess liability and financial exposure
- Negotiate cost-effective and good faith claims resolutions

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor preferred
- 10+ years of experience in insurance/legal profession dealing with FLPL claims
- In-depth understanding of policy language/coverage
- Experience managing, evaluating, mediating, and negotiating FLPL claims
- Comprehensive knowledge of . legal system, civil litigation, and ADR proceedings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
