Job Overview:
A law firm located in Glendale, CA, is actively seeking a skilled Litigation Associate to support its expanding personal injury practice. This role is tailored for a driven legal professional with a minimum of three years' experience handling personal injury matters from initiation through resolution. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of litigation procedures, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to case strategy and trial readiness.

Duties:

  • Oversee a portfolio of personal injury cases, managing each from filing to final resolution

  • Draft, review, and argue motions, including those related to discovery and summary judgment

  • Conduct depositions and manage written discovery processes

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement discussions

  • Communicate frequently and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and insurers

  • Contribute to trial preparation by organizing evidence, formulating case theories, and supporting litigation strategy

  • Negotiate settlements and engage in pre-trial negotiations

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in personal injury litigation

  • Solid knowledge of California procedural and evidentiary rules

  • Ability to manage a demanding caseload with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated ability to draft persuasive legal documents and argue motions effectively

  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to client advocacy

  • Proficiency in using litigation technology and legal software

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active California Bar Membership (in good standing)
