Senior Associate, Shared Services - Trade/Export Compliance

KPMG is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Trade & Customs Services practice, working with a diverse team to support high-profile clients and provide innovative tax solutions. This role offers a collaborative and future-forward culture, with opportunities for career development and mentorship. As a Senior Associate, you will have the chance to work on multifaceted engagements and access KPMG's extensive network of specialists and Ignition Centers.
Responsibilities:
- Support managed service projects including export classifications, licensing, sanctions screening, audits, and other compliance related tasks
- Provide quality review for basic to complex trade compliance tasks and processes performed within the Trade & Customs delivery center
- Assist in the development of processes, SOPs, references, work instructions, and training of delivery center team members
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for delivering high quality trade compliance service
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of recent and direct experience in export compliance (. EAR and ITAR), including export jurisdiction and classification, licensing and other EAR/ITAR authorizations, technology control plans, deemed exports, and sanctions screening regimes
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, and/or CPA, JD. LLM, Master's degree, or equivalent experience
- Outstanding and in-depth experience with . export control regulations with the ability to address basic to complex matters with practical advice and solutions
- Excellent communication and time management skills; flexible and adaptable team player; resourceful in delivering high quality work
- CUSECO/ CUSICO, CCS, or LCB preferred
