Job Title: Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Tax Senior

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Managers and Partners in managing client engagements, specifically conducting financial due diligence on middle-market companies across various industries.
- Collaborate directly with client leaders and work alongside private equity firms, strategic clients, and investment banks to perform buy-side and sell-side due diligence as well as other M&A tax activities.
- Conduct analytical reviews of data and prepare findings to support transaction decisions.
- Create draft reports for management review, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Research issues that arise during the course of engagements to provide informed recommendations.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, including participation in networking and business development activities.
- Provide leadership and supervision to staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or a related field is required.
- A Master’s degree in Taxation or a JD with an LLM in taxation is preferred.
- CPA or licensed attorney status is preferred. If not already a CPA or licensed attorney, candidates must meet the educational requirements to obtain CPA or attorney licensure in the state of employment upon hire.
- A minimum of 2 years of related experience is required, preferably with a public accounting firm or law firm.
- Previous experience in tax due diligence and M&A tax consulting is preferred.

Additional Skills and Requirements:
- Ability to analyze complex business and transaction situations.
- Capacity to work on multiple engagements simultaneously and quickly adapt to new business environments.
- Strong project management and organizational skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Strong presentation skills and marketing abilities are necessary.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel to client locations up to 50% of the time.

Salary Information:
- Compensation Range for California State: $116,000 - $160,000.
- The actual compensation may depend on factors such as qualifications, work experience, skills, and geographic location.
- This position may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
