Mergers and Acquisition Tax, Director - Full Time, Up to 20% Travel
PwC is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director for our Mergers and Acquisition Tax team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing tax advice and guidance during mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions. You will work closely with clients to analyse tax implications, develop tax structures, and navigate complex tax regulations to optimize tax outcomes. As a Director, you will also play a crucial role in driving business growth, shaping client engagements, and mentoring future leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Federal M&A team, setting strategic direction and driving business growth through innovative tax advisory services.
- Oversee multiple projects, ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Develop and maintain executive-level client relationships.
- Utilize technology to enhance tax processes and efficiencies.
- Mentor and develop the next generation of tax leaders.
- Collaborate with other PwC teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
- A Juris Doctorate (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation field of study may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate preferred.
- Proficiency in tax consulting and planning.
- Experience in transaction structuring for tax issues.
- Strong financial modeling skills.
- Ability to lead tax technical teams.
- Proven track record in generating new business.
- Experience with automation and digitization in tax services.
- Familiarity with evaluating and negotiating contracts.
- Comfortable working with large, complex data sets.
