Job Title: Tax Manager - Financial Services Organization - Tax Technology & Transformation

Job Responsibilities:
The Tax Manager at the company will be responsible for assisting financial services clients in addressing operational challenges faced by their tax functions. The role includes offering services such as tax accounting and compliance process improvement, tax sensitization of ERP systems, automation of complex hedge fund allocations, and enhancing tax processes and technology to adapt to legislative and regulatory changes. The manager will work on improving the operational effectiveness and efficiency of clients' tax functions and help them connect better with executive management. Key responsibilities include:

- Identifying ways to improve operational effectiveness in tax functions.
- Reviewing existing processes and controls, including technology systems, to enhance automation and data quality.
- Assessing overall risk to establish a proper control environment.
- Designing and building custom tax applications.
- Managing quality deliverables from offshore teams to meet time, cost, and quality requirements.
- Documenting technical and business requirements and identifying and prioritizing issues.
- Developing meaningful and influential relationships with clients and colleagues.

The role requires the ability to travel 30-80% of the time, depending on the home location and client projects.

Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the Tax Manager role, candidates must have:

- A bachelor's degree and approximately 5 years of relevant work experience, or a master's degree and approximately 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Exposure to the financial services industry, accounting/finance/tax, tax or finance performance improvement, tax software development, and/or implementation.
- A CPA, JD, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or the ability to obtain one of these certifications within 1 year of joining the company.

Ideally, candidates will also possess:

- Knowledge of implementing tax technology solutions such as CorpTax, ONESOURCE, Sabrix, Vertex, SharePoint, PFI, or RPA software.
- Experience embedding tax requirements into financial/business systems like Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, PAM, or Investran.
- Skills in developing and implementing custom applications using tools like Visual Studio, VBA/VSTO, SQL Server, or MS PowerBI Suite.

Salary Information:
The company offers a competitive salary for the Tax Manager role. The base salary range for this position across all geographic locations in the US is $127,100 to $233,000. For the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the base salary range is $152,500 to $264,800. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined by various factors, including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
