Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Associate
Job Responsibilities:
The Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Associate will play a critical role in the cybersecurity and incident response practice. Key responsibilities include:
- Advising innovative companies on cybersecurity incidents and complex privacy and cybersecurity issues.
- Representing clients in connection with major security incidents.
- Providing counseling on best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Offering cybersecurity expertise for technology transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic corporate transactions.
- Advising cybersecurity companies on legal compliance related to security research and threat intelligence activities.
- Taking significant responsibility within the group and contributing to the growth of the practice to serve leading technology companies.
Education and Experience:
- The position is open to associates in their 2nd to 4th year.
- Candidates must possess superior academic credentials.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Relevant experience within state or federal government agencies in cybersecurity and privacy is valued.
- Experience with incident response, cybersecurity investigations, or cybersecurity counseling is considered a plus.
Salary Information:
- The salary range for the position is $235,000 to $310,000, based on year classification.
- Discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
