Job Title: Director Corporate Counsel - Real Estate

Job Responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate, and oversee all documentation related to retail real estate transactions. This includes leases, purchase and sale agreements, reciprocal easement agreements, site development agreements, financing instruments, SNDAs (Subordination, Non-disturbance, and Attornment Agreements), letters of intent, and all other ancillary documents.
- Maintain, enforce, and revise existing lease agreements. This involves tracking, drafting, and negotiating letters of intent and binding agreements for lease renewals, remodels of existing stores, and transfers of excess property.
- Monitor compliance with real estate-related contractual obligations and address non-compliance issues by negotiating and drafting amendments.
- Negotiate and draft other necessary amendments, waivers, consents, estoppels, and SNDAs.
- Provide legal counsel and advice to management on real estate matters. This includes offering legal support to the Real Estate, Development, Construction, Facilities, and Real Estate Management departments.
- Oversee and manage relationships with third parties related to the real estate portfolio. This includes managing outside counsel in the preparation and negotiation of all documentation related to real estate transactions.
- Review and manage outside counsel fees to ensure they align with predetermined budgets.
- Provide support and, when necessary, manage real estate-related litigation, including issues such as mechanics' liens and construction cost disputes.

Education and Experience Information:
- An advanced degree is required.
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree is necessary for this position.
- Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience practicing law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
