Job Title: Tax Consultant II - SAP Global Trade Services
Job Responsibilities:
As a practitioner within the company's Global Trade Advisory Practice, the Tax Consultant II will have the opportunity to assist clients in maximizing their SAP investments and positioning their businesses for the evolving digital economy. The role involves delivering complex projects in a fast-paced team environment, leading and assisting customer and sales operations pursuits, and promoting participation in forums to share expertise. The consultant will collaborate on innovative solutions to bolster the future of the practice and develop knowledge and project experience in SAP's newest solutions, such as SAP S/4 and SAP GTS, Edition for HANA. The professional will collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements for GTS projects, lead or facilitate business process definition and modeling, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for development and configuration. The role includes coordinating with project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones, identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation within SAP GTS solutions, guiding a team to implement and configure the software, developing training materials, and conducting training sessions for end-users and client teams. Additionally, the consultant will ensure that SAP GTS solutions comply with relevant regulations, standards, and organizational policies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and support.
Education and Experience Information:
The role requires the ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2–3 days per week. Applicants must have at least 1 year of relevant SAP consulting or industry experience and a good understanding of supply chain management processes. Experience in other SAP modules besides SAP GTS, technical knowledge in ABAP and SAP PL, and a bachelor’s degree in a legal, business, or technology-related field are required. The ability to travel up to 10-20% on average, based on the work and clients served, is also necessary. Candidates must have one of the following active accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain: Licensed CPA, Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, US Customhouse Broker's License, CUSECO, or foreign equivalent certifications. Preferred qualifications include 2+ years of experience implementing SAP GTS Modules, education with SAP focus, software aptitude in PowerPoint, MS Project, Access, Excel, and/or Visio, experience presenting to clients or decision-makers, knowledge of export regulations including ITAR/EAR, and strong research, writing, verbal communication, and project management skills.
Salary Information:
The wage range for this role takes into account various factors, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,760 to $120,960. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, where an award depends on factors including individual and organizational performance.
