Job Description Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

- Content Development and Management:
- Generate ideas and strategies for long-term and short-term communications initiatives
- Write engaging content aligned with institutional priorities and editorial standards
- Oversee premium publications and collaborate with departments and senior leadership
- Translate complex legal scholarship into digestible and accurate content

- Editor of the Journal:
- Lead the editorial process for the Law School's publication
- Collaborate with faculty, alumni, and other contributors to gather content
- Partner with designers and photographers to produce visually engaging and cohesive publication
- Integrate journal content across digital platforms to expand reach and engagement

- Social Media Strategy and Content:
- Develop and oversee the Law School's social media strategy
- Write on-brand copy and create ideas for social media content
- Collaborate with designers and digital specialists for visually compelling assets
- Maintain consistent voice and tone for audience engagement

- Editing and Optimization:
- Review and edit articles, reports, and other content for accuracy and alignment with editorial standards
- Manage text refinement for implementation by designers

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required, JD or related advanced degree preferred
- Understanding of complex legal topics
- Minimum of seven years of professional writing experience
- Experience collaborating with senior-level administrators or executives
- Exceptional writing ability with proven experience in conveying complex subject matter
- Ability to work collegially and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Sense of humor is a plus
