H2: Seeking Experienced Biotechnology Patent Attorney for In-Office, Remote, or Hybrid Position

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced biotechnology patent attorney or patent agent to join our team at our law firm in San Diego. Our firm works with early- to mid-stage biotechnology, bioinformatics, biopharmaceutical, and diagnostics clients, and we are looking for someone with 5 to 8 years of experience and registration to practice before the US Patent & Trademark Office.

Responsibilities:

- Engage directly with clients to coordinate invention disclosures
- Draft patent applications for life sciences
- Prosecute US patent applications
- Oversee prosecution of foreign patent applications
- Conduct patentability, landscape, freedom-to-operate, validity, and infringement analyses
- Support IP due diligence in investments, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, collaborations, and international licenses

Qualifications:

- Minimum of an undergraduate degree in life sciences (advanced degrees preferred)
- Knowledge of convergent technologies (., Artificial Intelligence (AI) and medical devices)
- Experience working with FDA regulatory advisors and technology transactions lawyers
