Duties:

  • Manage a caseload encompassing all levels of complexity within workers' compensation defense

  • Conduct depositions and represent clients at the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB)

  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case updates, strategies, and resolutions

  • Develop case strategies aimed at achieving efficient and favorable outcomes

  • Negotiate settlements on both cases-in-chief and related liens

  • Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, reports, and settlement agreements

  • Oversee all phases of workers' compensation litigation from inception to resolution

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience handling workers' compensation matters preferred

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues

  • Proficiency with technology-driven case management systems

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active and good standing membership with the State Bar of California

Skills:
