A highly respected and fully remote California-based law firm is seeking a skilled Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join its team. This firm provides comprehensive litigation defense services to a wide range of clients, including insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and employers. The ideal candidate will manage cases from inception through resolution and thrive in a fully virtual, team-oriented environment.

Location:

  • Glendale, California

Duties:

  • Represent clients in all phases of workers’ compensation defense litigation

  • Handle case files from assignment through settlement or trial

  • Attend depositions, hearings, and other litigation-related appearances (virtually or in person as required)

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and reports

  • Negotiate settlements and attend mediations

  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and strategic guidance

  • Collaborate with legal staff and fellow attorneys to ensure effective and timely case management

Requirements:

  • Admitted to the California State Bar and in good standing

  • Experience in workers’ compensation defense preferred

  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and case management skills

  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting

  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication and organizational abilities

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • California Bar License (required)

Skills:

  • Proficient in workers’ compensation law and procedures

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Skilled in legal research, negotiation, and litigation strategy

  • Capable of managing a full caseload remotely
