Job Title: Japanese Business Network - Private Tax Manager
Job Responsibilities:
As a Private Tax Manager within the Japanese Business Network at the company, the candidate will have the opportunity to assist private companies with a variety of business advisory needs. The role involves working with clients to improve operational efficiency, focusing on business strategy, and experiencing the entire business life cycle from inception to growth, maturity, and transition. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing new skills and stepping outside of comfort zones.
- Resolving issues that hinder team effectiveness.
- Coaching team members, recognizing their strengths, and encouraging personal development.
- Analyzing complex ideas or proposals to build meaningful recommendations.
- Utilizing multiple sources of information, including broader stakeholder views, to develop solutions and recommendations.
- Addressing work that does not meet firm or client expectations.
- Using data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.
- Developing a point of view on key global trends and their impact on clients.
- Managing a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes.
- Simplifying complex messages and summarizing key points.
- Upholding the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 4 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.
- Required Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Japanese.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive abilities and proven success in addressing complex tax issues faced by US, non-publicly traded entities with operations in Japan.
- Demonstrated ability in building and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement.
- Experience in communicating value propositions, managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections.
- Proficiency in preparing and coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
- Supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust and encouraging improvement and innovation.
- Coaching staff and providing timely, meaningful written and verbal feedback.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $98,300 - $266,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
