Attorney - Personal Injury The candidate' must be Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio. Should have strong academic credentials. Must have excellent research, legal writing, and communication skills. Personal injury knowledge and experience In personal injury law (preferred experience handling PI case from intake to trial). Ability to help design and implement systematic processes and procedures. Ability to utilize case management software to maximize efficiency. Ability to create standard operating procedure, set KPIs, and prepare meaningful reporting for practice. Ability to handle large volume of cases (100plus). Manage staff to ensure all case tasks are completed effectively and promptly (starting with 1 paralegal, but likely as the practice grows 2-4 paralegals). Prepared for the unpredictability and time demands of litigation practice; manage multiple deadlines and projects at once, working both independently and on a team. Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, staff, clients, opposing attorneys, and court personnel. Ability to work with team to scale the practice. The attorney will work with a staff of paralegals, as well as our operations manager, cfo, and technology specialists. These team members, while not attorneys, have experience developing and implementing processes and procedures that will enable the practice to scale. The attorney will spend most of their time handling a docket of single event personal injury cases. The attorney will independent (with their staff) handle all aspects of litigation up to the eve of trial investigation, discovery, defending and taking depositions, work with opposing counsel, negotiate settlement, motions practice, trial prep.
