The Cherry Bekaert firm is currently seeking a highly experienced and driven Tax Partner to join our South Florida practice. This presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned tax partner to make a significant impact in our South Florida practice, located in either Coral Gables or Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Relocation assistance may be provided and limited travel is expected.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced tax partner who will help lead and grow our $18 million South Florida tax practice. In this role, you will work closely with our South Florida Tax partners to drive regional growth and provide exceptional service to our clients. This includes coaching and leading local partners and associates, overseeing operational results, developing professionals, and expanding the practice through business development efforts and offering new services to existing clients. Previous experience in service line, market, or industry leadership is a plus.

Additionally, this role will involve providing tax and consulting services to our existing client base. We prefer candidates with experience in Real Estate, Private Equity, Technology/Life Sciences, Industrials/Consumer Goods, or similar industries. International experience is also a plus. To continue our success, we are looking for a results-driven partner who can contribute to expanding the practice through their strong professional network and business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consistently grow the practice by expanding services to existing clients, cross-selling with other advisory practices, and acquiring new clients.
• Execute the firm's vision, strategy, and goals for the South Florida tax practice.
• Ensure effective implementation of business processes and practices for the market.
• Manage the utilization and productivity of professionals in the market to achieve operational and financial targets.
• Utilize leadership skills to coach, mentor, and train partners and professionals within the practice, and cultivate a talent pipeline with the necessary technical expertise.

Qualifications:

• Active CPA and/or JD license; MST or LLM is a plus.
• 8+ years of experience as a tax partner at a Big 4, large national, or regional accounting firm, with a proven track record of leadership, client service, and business expansion.
• Experience developing strategies and plans to grow a practice through expanding services to existing clients and acquiring new clients.
• Exceptional client service skills, leading to the highest quality execution and delivery of client engagements.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and empower individuals and teams.
• Ability to drive success through influencing partners' behaviors.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical abilities.
