Job Title: Tax Director - Private Companies
Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Director within the company, you will play a pivotal role in assisting private companies with a broad array of business advisory needs, including audit, tax compliance, and planning. Your responsibilities will include improving operational efficiency and allowing business leaders to focus on strategic initiatives. You will be involved in the entire business lifecycle of a private company, from inception through growth, maturity, and transition. Your duties will encompass the creation and implementation of personalized service plans tailored to privately owned entities, entrepreneurs, and high net worth individuals. Key issues you will address include wealth management, compliance, cash flow management, equity expansion, divestiture, and exit strategies. You will work alongside a team of problem solvers, tackling complex business issues from strategy to execution.

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 8 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
- Demonstrates thought leadership and a proven record of success in assisting companies to understand and assess the tax impact of business operations and transactions in multiple jurisdictions.
- Deep understanding of tax compliance and consulting for various entities, including corporations, partnerships, pass-through entities, and Subchapter S corporations.
- Technical expertise with ASC740.
- Ability to identify and address client needs and develop and sustain client relationships.
- Skills in networking, negotiation, and persuasion to identify and sell potential new service opportunities.
- Proficiency in preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials.
- Capability to define resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collection.
- Leadership in generating a vision, establishing direction, and motivating team members.
- Ability to create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $140,900 - $434,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. This range is specific to roles based in Maryland and may vary based on an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
