Position Title: Intake Attorney

Job Overview:
An established law firm located in Louisville, KY, specializing in personal injury cases, is actively seeking an experienced Intake Attorney. Duties

  • Evaluate the viability of potential personal injury cases.
  • Present the firm’s capabilities to potential clients, managing expectations while encouraging client commitment.
  • Communicate with clients to address their questions and concerns about the case, including on-call responsibilities on select nights and weekends.
  • Meet with clients at various locations as needed to facilitate case discussions and sign-up processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the intake team to assist clients through the initial stages of their legal journey.
  • Disengage clients who do not meet personal injury claim requirements.
  • Prepare qualified clients for assignment to the paralegal/attorney team.

Requirements

  • Active attorney license in good standing with the Kentucky State Bar.
  • Recent UBE completion within the last five years or additional licensure in Indiana, Ohio, or Illinois is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales and a demonstrated ability to secure client commitment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in plaintiff-side personal injury cases is preferred.
  • Strong empathy coupled with persuasive communication skills.
  • Familiarity with pre-litigation and litigation processes in personal injury cases is beneficial.
  • Interest in potential growth within the firm, progressing into an associate attorney role.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Kentucky.
  • UBE completion within the last five years is advantageous.

  • Persuasive and empathetic communication.
  • Sales and client relationship management.
  • Strong organizational skills in case management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Multilingual communication skills are beneficial.
