Job Overview:
A respected law firm headquartered in Irvine, California is seeking an experienced litigation attorney with a background in handling complex wage and hour matters. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to take the lead on high-stakes class action and collective action lawsuits, with a strong emphasis on federal court litigation. The successful candidate will be entrusted with substantial case responsibility from the outset, working closely with a collaborative team in a hybrid or remote arrangement.

Duties:

• Manage and defend California wage and hour class actions and FLSA collective actions

• Handle all litigation phases, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation

• Draft legal memoranda, prepare briefs, and conduct legal research

• Appear in federal and state courts, as well as administrative proceedings

• Provide strategic guidance on litigation matters and client counseling

• Collaborate with litigation teams across multiple offices

• Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the litigation lifecycle

Requirements:

• Active membership in the California State Bar

• Litigation experience, with a focus on class or collective actions

• Strong familiarity with wage and hour law and federal court practice

• Prior experience in a private law firm or judicial clerkship

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a legal team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admitted and in good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

• Advanced legal writing and research capabilities

• Clear and persuasive oral advocacy skills

• Analytical thinking with strong attention to detail

• Time management skills and ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously

• Proficiency with legal technology platforms and remote collaboration tools
