Job Title: Senior - Tax Technology & Transformation - Indirect Tax
Job Responsibilities:
- Help client tax departments operate at peak efficiency and productivity, positioning them to identify tax-saving opportunities.
- Transfer control of tax decision-making from transaction processing personnel and outside vendors to tax specialists within the client's tax department.
- Define solutions, coordinate necessary technical resources, and deliver a finished product that meets client goals and tax requirements.
- Document and review current state tax processes and controls to identify enhancement opportunities.
- Support the development of a business case to justify tax process enhancement solutions.
- Provide support during the indirect tax software/vendor selection process.
- Document tax data requirements and implement automated indirect tax calculation and compliance solutions.
- Improve reporting capabilities to enhance clients' ability to evaluate risk and capitalize on opportunities.
- Support project team members to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor's degree with approximately 4 years of related work experience, or a master's degree with approximately 3 years of related work experience.
- An undergraduate emphasis in accounting with related work experience or equivalent experience in business or industry.
- Approved technical certification, CPA license, or membership to state Bar, or progress towards attaining these qualifications.
- Indirect tax experience (Sales/Use Tax, VAT) and/or corporate indirect tax compliance experience preferred.
- Relevant experience with indirect tax software products such as Vertex, ONESOURCE (formerly Sabrix), Avalara, and tax data and reporting requirements for systems like SAP, Oracle, Hyperion.
- Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
Salary Information:
- Competitive salary.
- Base salary range in the US: $95,600 to $157,900.
- Salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento): $114,700 to $179,400.
- Individual salaries determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
