OGC Counsel - Conflicts: Resolving Conflicts and Promoting Diversity at a Top Global Law Firm
Latham & Watkins Law Firm is looking for a highly qualified OGC Counsel to join their team and handle conflicts and diversity initiatives. This is a full-time position with a hybrid work arrangement, offering a competitive salary range of $165,000 - $195,000 per year. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the firm's adherence to ethical and compliance standards, while also promoting diversity and inclusion within the organization.

About the Role
As the OGC Counsel – Conflicts, you will be responsible for resolving professional ethics conflicts, reviewing outside counsel guidelines, and advising on ethics and compliance issues for the firm's offices. This role will also involve reviewing conflicts checks and performing legal research on professional responsibility matters. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in any of Latham & Watkins' offices and may also have the option for a flexible hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Apply knowledge of legal ethics and professional responsibility rules
- Review outside counsel guidelines and prepare responses to clients
- Advise on engagement letters, conflicts waivers, ethics walls, and firm policies
- Conduct legal research and analyses on professional responsibility issues
- Prepare and deliver trainings on conflicts, ethics, and professional responsibility
- Protect and maintain confidential information for the firm
Qualifications:
- JD or equivalent degree
- Admissions to relevant state bar and active status
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail
