Job Title: Insurance Defense Attorney - Bodily Injury

Job Responsibilities:
As an insurance defense attorney within the bodily injury unit, the successful candidate will be part of the motor vehicle insurance defense litigation team. The primary responsibilities include:

- Providing legal representation to insured clients and/or the insurance companies in various legal settings, including courts and arbitration panels.
- Handling cases from inception to resolution, which involves preparing legal pleadings, motions, statements, and trial briefs.
- Engaging in negotiation processes to settle claims and disputes.
- Collaborating with clients and claims partners to prepare timely reports concerning litigation progress and outcomes.
- Leveraging all appropriate defenses to reach favorable outcomes in each case.
- Analyzing written discovery documents, conducting depositions, reviewing medical records, and assessing the value of claims to determine risk exposure.
- Occasionally traveling to an office for meetings and/or training as required, with the expectation that candidates reside within a reasonable driving distance of the office they support.

Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree or Master of Laws (LLM) is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in general or auto litigation is necessary.
- An active license to practice law in the state of Texas is mandatory.

Salary Information:
- The compensation for this position ranges from $144, to $160,400 per year.
- Additionally, there is an opportunity to receive a Gainshare bonus of up to 40% of eligible earnings, contingent on company performance.
