Job Title: Junior Counsel - Operational Legal Affairs
Experience:
- Doctorate of Jurisprudence (.) from an accredited law school/university required
- A member, in good standing of a . State Bar with the ability to practice law in Connecticut or Connecticut In-House Counsel bar
- 2-4 years of experience as Legal Counsel in a similar position in the legal department of an international corporation or in an international business law firm
Responsibilities:
- Assist in legal topics related to company operations, product production, and company initiatives
- Draft and negotiate a high volume of various operational contracts
- Support Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system and ensure it meets company requirements
- Maintain and update company policies and support SOPs and other operational documents
- Support compliance programs and train colleagues on legal and company policies
- Support corporate housekeeping for Beiersdorf including drafting and executing corporate documents
- Assist with audits and other risk management initiatives
- Manage and support department budget
- Handle legal administrative tasks and back-office requests
- Support other legal matters as needed
Qualifications:
- Doctorate of Jurisprudence (.) from an accredited law school/university required
- A member, in good standing of a . State Bar with the ability to practice law in Connecticut or Connecticut In-House Counsel bar
- 2-4 years of experience as Legal Counsel in a similar position in the legal department of an international corporation or in an international business law firm
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Experience with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a high volume of commercial contracts
- Experience with advertising laws/regulations or intellectual property preferred
- Positive team member and active contributor in a team environment
- Experience with legal matters and legal framework in North America (US/Canada)
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be flexible and open to handling administrative and back-office tasks
- Must be able to work independently and in cooperation with others
- The ability to travel domestically and internationally (<15%)
