An established international law firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Associate to join its Corporate practice group in the New York office. This role involves handling a wide range of real estate transactions for high-profile clients across various asset classes. The position offers a dynamic, collaborative environment with exposure to both domestic and international commercial real estate matters.

Location

Duties

  • Handle full-spectrum commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing

  • Draft and review documents related to purchases, sales, leasing, and financing of commercial properties

  • Address title and survey matters

  • Manage real estate financing transactions including refinancings, acquisition loans, bridge loans, construction loans, and mezzanine loans

  • Draft and negotiate real estate agreements such as property management contracts, brokerage agreements, and SNDAs

  • Participate in joint venture negotiations and structure real estate ownership arrangements

  • Manage transaction timelines and documentation, including closing and due diligence checklists

  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal practice groups and external counsel

  • Contribute to business development by attending industry events, networking, and publishing articles or posts

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in commercial real estate at a law firm

  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration across legal disciplines

  • Proven ability to lead transactions with minimal supervision

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Admission to the New York State Bar (in good standing)
