Law Firm Seeks Risk Management Conflict Clerk with 1-2 Years of Experience

Job Title: Risk Management Conflict Clerk

Job Summary:

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a national law firm, is currently seeking a Risk Management Conflict Clerk to join our team. This is a full-time position with options for remote, hybrid, or onsite work schedules. We prefer candidates with experience in medium to large law firms, and those with paralegal or law clerk experience will be given preference. The candidate must also possess the ability to maintain confidentiality in all client and firm matters.

Responsibilities:

As a Risk Management Conflict Clerk, you will be responsible for the following:

- Conducting conflict of interest search requests and managing matter intake until resolution
- Making decisions on how to handle complex or unusual requests and interpreting conflicts data
- Communicating and disseminating conflict of interest information to attorneys and other staff members
- Conducting research using third-party business resources for new clients and other assigned work
- Staying up-to-date on rules of professional conduct and client relationship considerations
- Participating in special projects and performing other duties as assigned
- Maintaining a high-quality work product by collaborating and communicating effectively with team members
- Working overtime as needed, including weekends and holidays, for email and conflict check coverage

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must have the following qualifications:

- Minimum of two years of experience in research, paralegal, or clerking, or one year of direct conflicts experience in a law firm (law firm experience is preferred)
- Professional demeanor and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Discretion and good judgment in handling confidential information
- Proficiency with Outlook (preferred) and familiarity with legal documents (a plus)

Education:

Candidates with college degrees and work-related experience will be given preference.

Salary Information:

The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $55,000.
