About This Role:
As a Business Tax Expert with Intuit, you will work directly with clients and apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to offer tax advice and resolve customer inquiries through our platform. Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. Possess a strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations for business and personal tax returns, as well as significant experience in preparing and filing business and personal tax returns. This is a seasonal, virtual, customer-facing role that utilizes state of the art video communication software (SmartLook) to interact with customers. Access virtual tools and resources, collaborate with experts, and provide updates on assigned customers. Opportunities for future seasonal work available.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 or more years of experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients/customers per season for compensation.
Must possess an active, unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney with strong business tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws.
Must possess or be able to obtain any related State licenses, certificates, permits or bonds.
Commit to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours/week (minimum 4 hour shift increments) throughout the tax season.
Strong customer service skills – ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
Active PTIN required.

Responsibilities:
Help customers complete their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products.
Use sound professional judgment to provide tax advice, full service return preparation, tax calculations, and manage product/software inquiries.
Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information.
Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer.
Interact with customers and team members in a professional manner while adhering to and promoting Intuit’s operating values, including “integrity without compromise.”

Qualifications:
Strong business tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws.
Must possess active unrestricted credential: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney.
Minimum of 2 seasons of personal Tax Preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per tax year in a tax practice or retail setting for compensation.
Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation is strongly preferred.
Experience preparing Business Tax returns for service industry customers strongly preferred.
Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
Commit to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours/week (minimum 4 hour shift increments) throughout the tax season.
Working knowledge of Circular 230.
Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Must have (or be willing to obtain) internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria.
Compensation:
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is New York - , Colorado - , Bay Area California - , Southern California - , Washington - , Washington . - . This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
