Job Title: Junior to Mid-Level Construction Associate
Job Responsibilities:
The Junior to Mid-Level Construction Associate will be an integral part of the construction practice group at the law firm. The individual will work closely with partners and senior associates, engaging in a variety of tasks including:
- Handling construction disputes involving claims of delay, disruptions, and defects.
- Negotiating complex construction contracts throughout the country.
- Litigating and arbitrating large construction claims.
- Providing unparalleled client service to a diverse group of clients, including owners, developers, general contractors, and design professionals.
- Collaborating with other attorneys in a thriving and growing construction practice.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate should meet the following educational and experience requirements:
- At least two years of litigation and/or contracting experience in a large or mid-size law firm.
- Preferred experience in construction litigation and construction contracting.
- A demonstrable interest in the practice of construction, with consideration given to candidates regardless of prior experience in the field.
- Prior construction, engineering, or architectural industry experience before attending law school is preferred but not essential.
- Strong academic credentials and writing skills are required.
