Job Title: Procurement Category Manager - Technology, Software
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between internal business partners and external suppliers to strategize and execute sophisticated and impactful sourcing projects related to the company's consumption of third-party software.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with senior internal partners by understanding their objectives and aligning them with those of Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS).
- Proactively seek value-creating opportunities across various spend categories.
- Oversee the process of disseminating and adhering to contract obligations, and develop a comprehensive strategy for renewals.
- Demonstrate expertise in software trends and commercial models, and provide training across the organization.
- Develop, issue, and coordinate RFx activity and lead commercial negotiations to identify the best sourcing solutions for the company.
- Ensure proper risk mitigation by liaising with Legal and assisting internal partners in obtaining robust Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for reliable performance.
- Report progress weekly, detailing work planning and work in progress, and add agreements, service details, and payment forecasts into procurement systems promptly.
- Drive continuous improvement and organizational change initiatives.
- Contribute significantly to the strategic direction of sourcing/procurement initiatives.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a similar field; preference for an MBA or JD.
- Strategic Sourcing/Procurement-related industry certification(s) is a plus.
- Preference for 5-9 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing with an emphasis on software/SaaS.
- Deep market knowledge of software contracting trends, licensing models, and business models.
- Familiarity with fiscal planning cycles and ad hoc financial analysis.
- Excellent emotional intelligence (EQ) and ability to positively influence various partners, improving business dynamics both within Global Procurement and across the company.
- Growth mentality with a keen awareness of personal strengths and weaknesses; adept at receiving, applying, and providing useful feedback.
- Mastery of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with BI reporting and spend analysis.
- High attention to detail with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to synthesize and present complex matters and data analysis in executive presentation views with insightful commentary.
- Willingness to train and educate users in new processes, policies, and procedures or technologies.
- Ability to handle own workload and priorities effectively, with flexible working times based on company requirements.
Salary Information:
- The . pay range for this position is $95,100 to $184,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Specific salary range information is available during the hiring process.
- For non-sales roles, starting salaries are expressed as base salary with short-term incentives in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
- Certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
