Job Title: Legal Counsel
Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Counsel at the company will collaborate closely with the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, providing timely and practical legal support across various business areas. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders within the company and the worldwide Legal and Compliance Department to proactively understand and support legal needs.
- Supporting the company’s contracting needs, including those with distribution channel partners, vendors, and customers.
- Drafting corporate documents and resolutions for the US companies.
- Staying informed about new laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting life science companies operating in the US.
- Providing legal guidance regarding promotional materials for company products, including medical devices approved by the FDA.
- Assisting the HR team with employment law matters.
- Supporting internal investigations and other compliance functions.
- Educating business teams on company policies to maintain a culture of compliance.
Education and Experience Information:
- Admission to a state bar is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience at a life science company or in direct representation of life science industry clients is necessary.
- Knowledge of medical device industry laws, guidelines, and codes is required.
- Familiarity with FDA and FTC regulations is preferred but not mandatory.
Salary Information:
The hiring salary range for the Legal Counsel position is $120,000 to $140,000. Additionally, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within this range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
