This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with significant experience managing multifaceted disputes involving commercial claims, class actions, governance issues, and transactional conflicts. The ideal candidate thrives in high-stakes environments and brings deep insight into handling litigation for institutional and financial clients across diverse forums.

Duties:

  • Lead components of complex commercial litigation and class action matters

  • Prepare pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents with precision and persuasive legal reasoning

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies

  • Manage discovery processes, including depositions, document review, and interrogatories

  • Participate in arbitrations, mediations, and court proceedings

  • Build and sustain productive client relationships

  • Supervise junior associates and contribute to their development through mentorship and feedback

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of litigation experience at a nationally recognized law firm

  • Demonstrated ability to manage substantial caseloads and contribute strategically to litigation teams

  • Admitted to practice in Illinois and good standing

  • Strong leadership, judgment, and case management skills

  • High level of initiative and ability to work autonomously and collaboratively

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Illinois Bar Admission required

Skills:

  • Outstanding legal writing and research abilities

  • Deep understanding of procedural and substantive law relevant to commercial disputes

  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
