A growing law firm is seeking an experienced Construction Litigation Partner to lead and expand the Construction Litigation practice in Orlando, Florida. Duties:
Lead and manage a team of attorneys and support staff handling complex construction litigation matters
Oversee all phases of litigation, including strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation
Collaborate with firm leadership to develop and execute growth strategies for the Construction Practice in Orlando and beyond
Maintain and grow existing client relationships while pursuing new business opportunities
Partner with in-house Business Development and Marketing teams to drive business growth
Mentor junior attorneys and staff, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment
Contribute to cross-functional initiatives supporting firm-wide objectives in talent development, client service, and market presence
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school (Required)
Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar (Required)
Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction litigation, including expertise in construction defect claims, contract disputes, lien law, and delay claims (Required)
Proven leadership experience managing legal teams and directing litigation strategy (Required)
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships (Required)
A portable book of business is strongly preferred, or the ability to develop new business in collaboration with internal resources (Required)
Education:
Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school (Required)
Certifications:
Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar (Required)
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills
Expertise in construction litigation, including construction defect claims, contract disputes, lien law, and delay claims
Strategic litigation planning and case management
Business development and client relationship management
Ability to mentor and provide professional guidance to junior attorneys
