Job Title: Tax Manager - Private Wealth
Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Manager in the Private Wealth Tax practice, the individual will be responsible for conducting high-level reviews of tax research concerning individuals, fiduciaries, partnerships, closely-held corporations, estates, and gift work papers, as well as tax returns. The role involves preparing and leading client meetings on compliance and consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities and the tax implications of transactions for the client. The Tax Manager will also train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors. Additionally, the role entails taking on lead client-contact roles, handling billing and profitability analysis on engagements, and becoming involved in building marketplace eminence and pursuits.
Education and Experience Information:
Required qualifications include:
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on work and client needs.
- A minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience, with at least 3 years in investment management.
- One of the following accreditations is required:
- Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- If not CPA eligible, a licensed attorney or Enrolled Agent.
- Certifications such as Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field.
- Experience in reviewing partnership and/or trust documents.
- Experience in managing projects, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
Preferred qualifications include:
- An advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM.
- Prior experience with a Big 4 or large CPA firm.
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting.
Salary Information:
The wage range for this role considers a wide range of factors, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The estimated current range is $93,660 to $213,200. Additionally, there may be eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the program's rules, where an award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
