The Complex Claims Director will be responsible for handling complex and severe general liability, product liability, employers’ liability, and auto liability claims for AIG.

Salary Information: The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000, with eligibility for a bonus according to the company's incentive plan.

Job Title: Complex Claims Director - Primary Severity Unit (PSU)

Experience Information: 5+ years of commercial/industry claims experience preferred. JD is helpful but not required. Property and casualty adjusting licenses are required and must be obtained within 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

- Determine coverage and issue appropriate coverage position letters
- Develop and execute investigation strategies
- Assess and pursue risk transfer and contribution opportunities
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Evaluate claim exposures and set appropriate reserves
- Develop and implement resolution strategies
- Present claim disposition recommendations to senior management
- Independently negotiate multi-million dollar claims with top plaintiff attorneys nationwide
- Effectively manage litigation costs
- Approximately 25% travel required

Key Qualifications:

- 5+ years of commercial/industry claims experience preferred
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Advanced experience in litigation claims management
- Experience attending and controlling claims at mediations and settlement conferences
- JD helpful but not required
- Property and casualty adjusting licenses required and must be obtained within 6 months
