Job Title: Federal Tax Senior Manager - Financial Services Organization - GCR/Insurance

Job Responsibilities:

As a Senior Manager in the Insurance Tax practice, the candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks in a high-performing environment. Key responsibilities include:

- Overseeing financial statement audits and reviewing tax returns.
- Managing relationships with key employees of clients, which involves building lasting professional relations.
- Handling the staffing and economics of engagements and analyzing engagement results to ensure exceptional client service.
- Leading a team of professionals and nurturing a professional network.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with clients.

Education and Experience Information:

To qualify for the role, candidates must have the following:

- A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of tax experience.
- A CPA certification or be a licensed attorney.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and SSAP 101.
- Experience in income tax support for audits and income tax for Insurance companies as well as C Corporations.
- At least 5 to 6 years of experience in preparing 1120, 1120 PC, 1120 L, and consolidated group returns, with experience in reviewing these returns being essential.

Ideally, candidates will also have:

- Direct experience in state and local taxation, including state return compliance, state income tax accounting, and state apportionment fundamentals.
- SEC experience.
- Proven experience in managing teams and client relationships.

Salary Information:

The position offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. The base salary range for this job across all geographic locations in the US is $129,300 to $295,700. For the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the base salary range is $155,200 to $335,900. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined by factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
