Associate General Counsel, Monetization (Ads)
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze global products, features, and initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for products across multiple jurisdictions.
- Offer legal advice to product, engineering, and other business teams across various subject areas, including consumer protection laws, data protection laws and regulations, competition laws, and other global legal frameworks.
- Drive high-profile and high-impact projects involving legal analysis and compliance with cross-functional stakeholders across business, policy, legal, communications, security, and other cross-functional teams.
Education and Experience Information:
- . degree (or foreign equivalent) is required.
- Active membership in at least one US state bar and eligibility to obtain registered in-house counsel status, if required by the State Bar in the assigned work location.
- A minimum of 5 years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, which can include experience at a law firm and/or in-house or government experience.
- Demonstrated business judgment and client counseling skills are essential.
- Effective communication skills are necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with global privacy legal requirements, especially those relating to social media, digital advertising, or other technologies.
- Experience managing legal risk across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
- Experience in prioritizing work and providing advice in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Salary Information:
- The salary range for this position is $198,000/year to $266,000/year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
- Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
- Compensation details listed reflect the base salary only and do not include bonus, equity, or sales incentives, if applicable.
- In addition to base compensation, the company offers benefits.
