Responsibilities of Senior Litigation Attorney:
- Handle own case load of litigation matters, including commercial, contract/business disputes, general liability, construction, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims
- Oversee a team of associates and assist in their training and professional development
- Develop and implement strategy, manage discovery, take and defend depositions, coordinate with experts, law and motion practice, interface with clients and opposing counsel, trial preparation, and mediations
- Provide instruction, training, and constructive feedback to associates
- Communicate effectively and advocate for clients to achieve successful outcomes
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as an attorney with extensive litigation experience in general liability, construction, personal/catastrophic injury, contracts/business, and/or commercial disputes in a law firm environment
- Experience handling litigation cases independently from start to finish
- 2+ years of supervisory experience overseeing a team of associates
- Exceptional communication and advocacy skills
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active bar license in the jurisdiction in which you will practice law, or already admitted on motion to that jurisdiction through reciprocity
