Job Title: Associate Corporate Counsel, AWS Transportation, Logistics, and Supply Chain Operations
Job Responsibilities:
- Structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements to support AWS’s dynamic supply chain operations.
- Independently and effectively solving a broad range of commercial and regulatory issues.
- Serving as lead counsel on strategic supply chain operations projects.
- Providing day-to-day legal advice on various transportation, logistics, and supply chain operations issues.
- Resolving issues arising in existing commercial relationships and addressing regulatory questions.
- Handling pre-litigation disputes and inquiries.
- Developing strategies for addressing legal issues in creative, business-centric ways.
- Building processes that address risk while allowing business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.
- Owning and implementing strategic initiatives and projects while working cross-functionally with other legal teams.
- Developing and improving legal review and engagement processes.
- Resolving pre-litigation disputes and compliance challenges affecting supply chain operations.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor degree.
- Membership in one state bar or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2+ years of legal experience.
- Preferred experience includes private practice or in-house experience at a technology company or equivalent.
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines.
- Experience in web services/cloud computing, software licensing, telecommunications, or equivalent fields.
- Knowledge of legal issues related to transportation, warehousing, reverse logistics, and other supply chain operations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a desire to be challenged, and the ability to be a partner to business stakeholders.
