Job Title: Counsel - Cybersecurity & Global Security Operations
Job Responsibilities:
As a Counsel for Cybersecurity & Global Security Operations, the candidate will be responsible for providing legal support and advice to the company's cybersecurity and global security organizations. This includes offering legal guidance to insider risk, physical security, government security, and fraud investigations teams under the Security and Resiliency Organization (SRO). The role involves working on advanced legal issues in collaboration with cross-functional business units such as IT, Fraud, Supply Chain Security, and Governance Risk & Compliance. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing legal counsel and support to the Cybersecurity Organization, Global Security Operations team, and Government Security team, including the company's US Federal and public sector compliance programs.
- Advising the Security and Resiliency Organization and the global company business on developing security-related policies, procedures, protocols, and completing security assessments, reporting requirements, and applicable industry certifications.
- Conducting legal research on emerging security laws and regulations that impact the company and collaborating with global stakeholders to ensure effective compliance programs.
- Supporting various security incidents and investigations, including those related to insider risk, fraud, physical security, supply chain, and national security.
Education and Experience Information:
- The candidate must possess a Juris Doctor () degree and be admitted to practice law in the United States.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in a law firm, in-house, or government setting is required.
- Experience in counseling clients on cybersecurity and IT compliance matters, insider threat, risk management, and incident response is essential.
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity and data protection laws and regulatory frameworks (., NIST CSF, NIS2, CMMC, NIST 800-171, FARS, DFARS) is necessary.
- Strong investigative, analytical, written, and oral communication skills are required, along with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, changing environment while managing multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities and deadlines is crucial.
Desirable Requirements:
- An understanding of IT and cybersecurity technical concepts and methodologies, with the ability to communicate and discuss these technical concepts effectively.
- Experience in legal project management, legal risk management, and technology contract negotiations is preferred.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is between $170,850 and $221,100, reflecting the company's commitment to fair and equitable compensation practices.
