Job Overview:
A prominent national law firm is expanding its Insurance Coverage Practice in South Carolina and is actively seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Partner-level Attorney to lead its efforts in this region. This position is ideal for experienced attorneys with a strong foundation in insurance coverage litigation who are looking to scale their practice within a supportive, full-service platform that offers autonomy, infrastructure, and collaborative growth.

Location:

  • Fort Lauderdale, FL

Duties:

  • Lead and manage complex insurance coverage matters involving first-party property claims, CGL policies, and commercial insurance disputes

  • Provide detailed and accurate coverage opinions and strategic legal counsel to insurance carriers

  • Develop and implement regional expansion strategies for the firm’s insurance coverage practice

  • Handle negotiations, mediations, and alternative dispute resolution processes

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, with a focus on client retention and acquisition

  • Collaborate with other partners and legal teams across the firm to deliver cohesive legal services

  • Stay informed on legal trends, court decisions, and regulatory updates impacting the insurance industry

  • Represent the firm at industry events and actively engage in thought leadership

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing insurance coverage law

  • Demonstrated success in delivering legal opinions, managing high-level cases, and leading client engagements

  • Proven track record of generating and expanding a book of business

  • Experience with first-party property claims and general liability policies

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead growth initiatives and mentor associates

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of South Carolina (required)

Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of insurance law and litigation strategy

  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities

  • Business development acumen and leadership qualities
