Job Title: Senior Principal Intelligence Specialist, FIU

Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Principal Intelligence Specialist is responsible for executing functions that support the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), which is part of the National Cause and Financial Crimes Detection Program (NCFC). The primary duties include:

- Partnering across the organization and externally on strategic and time-sensitive cyber-related events or matters to mitigate investor harm risks.
- Monitoring relevant risk areas, trends, threats, and issues applicable to cyber intelligence and investigations.
- Developing strategies to mitigate cyber-related risks and threats.
- Identifying strategic and tactical risks and threats impacting the organization's mission of investor protection and market integrity and developing problem statements to address these risks.
- Establishing and maintaining partnerships and networks with internal and external stakeholders to understand intelligence priorities.
- Collecting internal and external data and information from stakeholders.
- Conducting analysis of high-risk and complex issues, contributing to expanded reviews.
- Developing and executing strategies to distribute intelligence analysis to appropriate stakeholders.
- Providing briefings to impacted stakeholders and working with them to transform intelligence analysis into action.
- Conducting tasks related to member firm/investor intelligence sharing and participating in conference panels, working groups, and roundtables.
- Conducting tasks related to staff training and intelligence sharing through training events, podcasts, workshops, or live webinars.
- Demonstrating the organization's values and collaborating both in-person and virtually to further the organization's mission of investor protection and market integrity.

Education and Experience Information:

- A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of eight years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, is required. An advanced degree or law degree is preferred.
- Proven expertise in performing advanced and high-complexity intelligence functions representing the full intelligence cycle.
- Experience in analyzing and thinking strategically about complex risks and threats to stakeholders is essential.
- Strong knowledge of the organization's rules and federal securities laws is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the securities markets and member firm operations is preferred.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer programs, especially the full suite of Office software applications.
- Highly effective at building and managing relationships.

Salary Information:

The salary range for this position varies by location. Compensation is based on various factors, including the candidate’s skill set, level of experience, education, and internal peer compensation comparisons. The salary ranges are as follows:

- CA: Minimum $128,000, Maximum $242,600
- CO/HI/MN/VT: Minimum $111,400, Maximum $202,100
- IL: Minimum $122,800, Maximum $222,400
- Jersey City, NJ/NYC, NY: Minimum $133,700, Maximum $242,600
- MA/WA: Minimum $111,400, Maximum $232,500
- MD/Washington, DC: Minimum $128,000, Maximum $232,500
- NJ State: Minimum $122,800, Maximum $242,600
- NY State: Minimum $111,400, Maximum $242,600

Candidates can expect salary offers that range from the minimum to the mid-point of the salary range. The organization provides full pay ranges to consider growth potential within the organization.

- The position operates in a hybrid work environment with defined in-person presence requirements.
- Extended hours and overnight travel may be required.
