Job Title: Manager - Tax Technology & Transformation - Indirect Tax

Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Manager in the Tax Technology & Transformation department focus on helping client tax departments enhance their operational efficiency and productivity, thereby optimizing their tax-saving opportunities. Key duties include:

- Transfer control of tax decision-making to tax specialists within the client's tax department from transaction processing personnel and outside vendors.
- Define solutions, coordinate necessary technical resources, and deliver a finished product that aligns with the client's goals and tax requirements.
- Lead teams, mentor counselees, and manage client-serving business.
- Document and review current state tax processes and controls to identify enhancement opportunities.
- Support the development of a business case to justify tax process enhancement solutions.
- Provide support during the indirect tax software/vendor selection process.
- Document tax data requirements.
- Implement automated indirect tax calculation and compliance solutions.
- Support the development of data analytics solutions focused on indirect tax.
- Support the implementation of global digital tax reporting solutions.

Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the role, candidates must have:

- An undergraduate emphasis in accounting and approximately 6 years of related work experience in indirect tax process improvement or equivalent experience in business or industry; or a master's degree with approximately 4 years of related work experience preferred.
- Approved technical certification, CPA license, or membership to the state Bar, or be progressing towards attaining these qualifications.
- Preferred experience in indirect tax (Sales/Use Tax, VAT) and/or corporate indirect tax compliance.
- Relevant experience in one or more specialty areas, such as indirect tax software products (., Vertex, ONESOURCE, Avalara), ERP systems (., SAP, Oracle), procurement systems (., Ariba, Coupa), and tax process and operational assessments.
- Excellent managerial, leadership, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.

Salary Information:
The compensation package for this role is comprehensive and competitive, with a base salary range in the US from $124,200 to $227,800. In the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the salary range is $149,100 to $258,800. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined by a variety of factors, including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
