Job Title: AML Consultant

Job Responsibilities:
As an AML Consultant under the Project Delivery Talent Model at the company, the primary responsibilities involve supporting client service delivery within the AML and sanctions team. The role includes:

- Performing case investigations.
- Assessing potential AML and sanctions risks during case investigations.
- Making recommended decisions regarding case dispositions.
- Utilizing feedback and input to improve case investigations as required.
- Regular communication with Engagement Managers, project team members, and representatives from various functional or technical teams.
- Escalating matters requiring additional attention and consideration from engagement management.

Education and Experience Information:
Required:
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in private or public sector AML and/or sanctions-focused activities.
- 2+ years of experience in AML/sanctions regulations applicable to financial institutions, including retail, wholesale, and international banks, Trade Finance, Fraud, Retail Banking, Private Banking, and Wealth Management.
- 2+ years of experience performing AML case investigations related to Trade Finance, Fraud, Retail Banking, Private Banking, and Wealth Management.
- 2+ years of experience in Transactions Monitoring, Reviewing and Analyzing Transactions/Alerts, and Identifying Suspicious Activity.
- 2+ years of experience drafting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
- 2+ years of experience using AML Monitoring systems and related software.
- 2+ years of experience submitting written and oral reports to senior management and clients.
- 2+ years of experience providing advice regarding applicable AML/OFAC regulations with a focus on Trade Finance, Fraud, Retail Banking, Private Banking, and Wealth Management.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, Criminal Justice, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel 10% on average, based on the work and clients served.

Preferred:
- Investigations experience.
- FIU – Financial Institutions Unit experience.
- AML consulting experience.
- Certifications such as CAMS and CFE.
- Regulatory experience.
- Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products.
- Ability to operate independently or with minimum supervision.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Ability to deliver technical demonstrations.

Salary Information:
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, Nevada, New York state, and Washington State, the company is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The current estimated compensation range is $66,200-$121,800. This range takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
