A prominent law firm is seeking a talented Associate to join its Corporate and Private Equity practice. The position is available in the Dallas office, with potential for placement in Chicago or Pittsburgh. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong experience in private equity transactions, including acquisitions for private equity funds. Location:

  • Dallas, Texas

Duties:

  • Support the Corporate and Private Equity practice with a focus on private equity transactions, including leveraged buy-outs, independent sponsor transactions, rollups, minority and junior capital investments, and "going private" transactions.

  • Assist in the purchase of troubled companies, including those in or out of bankruptcy.

  • Represent emerging managers, general partners, and limited partners in forming private equity, growth equity, venture capital, mezzanine, and real estate funds.

  • Work with clients and colleagues to provide innovative legal solutions in the private equity sector.

  • Maintain and build relationships with clients while delivering excellent legal services.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of experience in acquisitions for private equity funds.

  • A strong academic record with excellent writing and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.

  • Texas Bar membership required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Texas Bar License required.

Skills:

  • Strong background in corporate and private equity law.

  • Expertise in private equity transactions, including leveraged buy-outs, fund formation, and distressed company acquisitions.

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and drafting skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
