Job Title: 2026 2L Summer Associate
Job Responsibilities:
The 2026 2L Summer Associate position at the law firm involves working with attorneys across multiple office locations, including Dallas, Denver, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, and Troy. Summer Associates will engage with attorneys from all five practice groups: Health Economics, Health Human Resources, Health Operations, Health Regulatory, and Health Transactions. The role requires both independent and collaborative work with attorneys throughout the firm's offices, providing real client experiences and projects over the summer. Summer Associates are not restricted to any one practice group or group of attorneys, allowing them to gain experience in various specialty areas within health law. Their responsibilities include assisting attorneys and clients in the health care industry in areas such as business transactions, joint ventures, health care regulatory issues, operational matters, litigation, health information systems, compliance, licensing, tax, antitrust, managed care, reimbursement, medical staff relations, tax-exempt matters, patient care, HIPAA, supply chain negotiations, real estate and construction, labor and employment issues, and more.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must be full-time rising 2L students or dual degree and part-time law students graduating in 2027 or later. They should possess outstanding academic credentials with a minimum GPA of and a dedicated interest in health law. Applicants are expected to demonstrate maturity and motivation to succeed in the role. Permanent authorization to work in the United States without restriction is required, as the law firm is unable to provide immigration sponsorship such as H-1B or Permanent Residency.
