Job Title: Tax Provision Manager - Tax Accounting & Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) - GCR

Job Responsibilities:
The Tax Provision Manager in the Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice at the company is responsible for assisting companies with their financial reporting for income taxes. The role involves providing clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning, including internal restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions, share-based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts. The manager assists companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision and has the opportunity to review the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy, enhance the control environment, and assess tax risk and control environments, including those beyond the boundaries of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.

Key responsibilities include:
- Tax Accounting Projects and Consulting
- Tax Provision Preparation/Review: Assist companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision
- Process and Controls Enhancement
- Key Risks Identification, Prioritization, Monitoring, and Remediation

Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the role, candidates must have:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field, supported by significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred
- Valid US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active state bar membership
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS
- Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation
- Strong analytical skills, written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
- Ability to travel 50%+ and work on out-of-town projects

Ideally, candidates will also have:
- Strong ASC 740 and/or IAS 12 experience
- Experience in corporate tax planning and compliance
- Relevant tax experience or equivalent experience in business or industry with broad exposure to federal income taxation

Salary Information:
The company offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where employees are rewarded based on their performance and recognized for the value they bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $128,200 to $235,100. The base salary range for the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $153,900 to $267,100. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Additionally, the Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
