Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in San Diego, CA, is seeking a dedicated Family Law Associate Attorney through a legal recruitment partner. Duties:

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, legal staff, courts, and opposing counsel

  • Represent clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings

  • Draft, edit, and review legal pleadings, including declarations, motions, discovery, and related materials

  • Proofread and verify legal forms and filings for accuracy and completeness

  • Manage assigned caseloads to ensure compliance with deadlines and court schedules

  • Assist in trial preparation and other litigation-related tasks

  • Contribute to internal administrative tasks and collaborative case efforts

  • Maintain accurate time records for billing purposes

Requirements:

  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar

  • Minimum of 1 year of focused experience in family law practice

  • Solid understanding of procedural and substantive aspects of California family law

  • Ability to manage sensitive client information with discretion and professionalism

  • Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven setting

  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a team-oriented mindset

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

  • Licensed to practice in California

Certifications:

  • California Bar Admission (Required)

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Keen attention to detail in legal drafting and case management

  • Proficiency with standard legal software, including:

    • Microsoft Word and WordPerfect

    • Google Calendar and Essential Forms

    • DissoMaster

  • Experience with or exposure to Infusion Soft, TimeSolv, and Attorney's Briefcase (preferred but not required)

  • Strong time management and organizational capabilities

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude
