Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Associate Attorney at the law firm will play a crucial role in advocating for clients' rights both in and out of the courtroom. The primary responsibilities include managing discovery processes, drafting and preparing legal documents, performing legal research, and making court appearances. The attorney will also participate in case strategy discussions, communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members, and collaborate with senior attorneys on cases.
Essential duties and responsibilities encompass:
- Managing discovery processes, including the propounding and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and analyzing complex documents.
- Drafting and preparing legal documents, such as pleadings and complex motions.
- Conducting thorough legal research to support case strategies.
- Making court appearances, ranging from status conferences to trials, to advocate on behalf of clients.
- Engaging in case strategy discussions and contributing innovative ideas.
- Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members to facilitate case progress and resolution.
- Collaborating with senior attorneys to ensure high-quality legal representation.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and possess an active license to practice law in California. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of litigation experience. Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office products is necessary, along with familiarity with E-Discovery and law programs such as Sharefile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Lexis, Smart Advocate, Everlaw, FileVine, and OneLegal. Candidates should be detail-oriented, organized, reliable, and capable of multitasking and managing several time-critical projects under tight deadlines. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Salary Information:
The annual salary for the Litigation Associate Attorney position at the law firm ranges from $115,000 to $200,000. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
