Summary:
KPMG is a global tax firm seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join their Business Tax Services practice. This is an experienced level position that requires a minimum of five years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation, or law firm. The manager will provide tax compliance and advisory services to corporations and/or partnerships, while the senior manager will also manage risk and financial performance of engagements and team with other professionals to identify new marketplace opportunities and grow the KPMG tax practice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tax compliance and advisory services to corporations and/or partnerships
- Collaborate with accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) and tax provision calculations
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide industry knowledge and experiences
- Manage a portfolio of clients and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
- Oversee teams of tax professionals and assistants
- Participate in and contribute to market and business activities
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager:
- Manage risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and project budgets
- Team with other professionals to identify new marketplace opportunities and grow the KPMG tax practice
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation, or law firm
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM
- Strong knowledge of ASC 740
- Experience with corporate taxation, consolidations, and partnerships
- Solid experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams
Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager:
- Minimum eight years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation, or law firm
- Experience mentoring and counseling staff/senior level team members
